The hotel was called the Pacheco Inn as the call of the Gold Rush Days began to fade. The hotel was converted into a stagecoach and Wells Fargo Pony Express Station, attracting many more tourists. It all began when the Woodford Hotel and Saloon opened their doors to sell drinks and gambling. California Grand Casino is the world’s oldest continuously operating poker room, with poker games from 1854.
